Scannal lässt sich nur schwer beschreiben, Scannal muss man erleben! Scannal sind die beiden Iren Peter Staunton, Akkordeon und Gesang, und Bréanainn Ó Beaglaoich an der Gitarre. Ihre Mission ist es, irische Tanzmusik massen- und Dancefloor-tauglich zu machen, indem sie Reels und Polkas mit 90’s Pop, Disco und elektronischer Musik mixen. Daraus entsteht eine fließende Mischung aus high energy pure trad (Polkas, Slides, die Jungs sind ja aus dem Süden), Technobeats, Chart-Hits, Rap - übergangslos vom einen ins andere. Keiner weiß, wie Scannal diese Live-Trad-Disco mit Pogo, Polonaise, irischem Steptanz, Polka,  La-Ola und Headbanging hinzaubern. Aber eines ist sicher: Am Ende tanzt die Oma mit dem Enkel, die Schwiegermutter mit dem Schwiegersohn und die Stimmung kocht!

Lassen wir einfach mal jemanden zu Wort kommen, der Scannal schon live erlebt hat: 

“We had the pleasure of Scannal’s entertainment at our annual St Patrick’s Gala Ball. We had over 250 people in attendance, which included ambassadors and dignatries from 7 different countries. From the first minute they played until the last (some hours later!) Scannal had everyone on the dance floor, being entertained by the amazing, and unique, Irish music. It was a fabulous night and made all the more special due to the musical renderings of Scannal. The Hotel Staff commented that it was the best band they had seen in years! A number of the guests have also written to us asking to make sure we book them again for next years event! They have a unique talent to entertain.”
