Sam Kelly and The Lost Boys ist eine der aufregendsten Bands, die in den letzten zwanzig Jahren in der britische Folkszene aufgetaucht sind. Der mit dem BBC Radio 2 Folk Award ausgezeichnete Sänger, Songwriter, Multiinstrumentalist und Produzent Sam Kelly führt die Lost Boys an. Sie haben sich einen Ruf als einer der besten Live-Acts Großbritanniens erspielt und füllen seit ihrer Gründung im Jahr 2016 Festivalzelte und Veranstaltungsorte auf der ganzen Welt.

Mit den virtuosen Talenten von Jamie Francis (Banjo), Graham Coe (Cello), Toby Shaer (Whistles/Fiddle), Archie Moss (Melodeon) und Evan Carson (Schlagzeug) sind The Lost Boys für ihre eklektischen und innovativen Bearbeitungen traditioneller Lieder und Melodien aus England, Schottland, Irland und den USA bekannt geworden, aber auch für ihre atemberaubenden Eigenkompositionen und gelegentliche überraschende Classic-Rock-Cover.

Von Seth Lakeman als "eine der besten Bands der Szene" und von Mark Radcliffe als "erstaunliche, mitreißende Musik" beschrieben, erwarten uns erbauliche Melodien, schwebende Harmonien und Instrumentalstücke von höchstem Niveau - alles angeführt von Sams umwerfendem Gesang und mit einer Prise britischen Humors gemischt. Nach dem von der Kritik hochgelobten Album "Pretty Peggy", für das sie 2018 bei den BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards als beste Gruppe nominiert wurden, veröffentlichen The Lost Boys im Sommer 2021 ihr neues Album mit brandneuem Material, "The Wishing Tree".
